My Yoga Philosophy: Practice as a Path to Freedom
For me, yoga is not just about postures or fancy gear. It is an inward practice, a way to move beyond limits and find true freedom. Whether you are seeking physical strength or mental clarity, the path begins with discipline and honesty.
For me, yoga is a journey to be celebrated every day. On International Yoga Day, we brought together a large community to practice together. My goal is to share this path with everyone, guided by the principle of 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam', the world is one family.
About My Journey & Philosophy
I don't believe in quick fixes or complex attire—what matters is the discipline you bring to the mat. In my studio, we prioritize alignment, anatomical understanding, and breath control over mere performance. Whether you are dealing with an injury or looking to deepen your existing practice, we strip away the fluff to focus on the science of every movement.
My journey began 12 years ago when I chose freedom over my addictions. I started from zero, and I view yoga not as a mat exercise, but as a path to becoming superior to my former self. This is why I hold workshops and classes in Ghatkopar—to share the techniques that helped me reclaim my life.
The Philosophy of Practice
I firmly believe in the Sanskrit phrase Kriyeva Karanam Siddhe: only practice leads to success. You will not find me encouraging ego-driven postures or superficial goals. Instead, I teach with a focus on:
- Alignment and Safety: Whether we are doing Ashtanga, Hatha, or using props like ropes, every movement is backed by anatomy. We move with purpose.
- Breath as Medicine: From Pranayama to Kumbhaka (breath retention), we treat breathwork as a tool for anxiety relief and mental balance.
- Traditional Cleansing: I teach Shuddhi Kriyas—Jalneti, Sutra Neti, and Tratak—to help you combat the effects of city pollution and stress.
What to Expect at the Studio
My studio is a space for serious practitioners and beginners alike. We keep batch sizes limited (10-15 participants) to ensure I can provide hands-on spotting and corrections. We do not use AC to ensure the body generates natural heat, which aids in flexibility and detoxification. If you are struggling with a specific injury or looking to master advanced asanas, my goal is to guide you through the process step-by-step, ensuring you feel stronger and more stable after every session.
