My Yoga Philosophy: Real Practice for Real Life

Yoga isn't about making shapes for the camera. It’s about showing up to the mat to meet yourself, breath by breath. Here’s why I teach the way I do—no fluff, just honest movement.

People ask if yoga is a cure-all. No, it's not. Life will still happen. But I believe it is a powerful tool that helps improve the quality of your life while you're here, making your experiences more fulfilling. It helps you live better, not necessarily longer.

Finding the right teacher is everything. These are the ten things I believe make a good teacher. They listen, they don't force you, they give you the 'why', and they create a safe space for you to just be yourself. This is the kind of teacher I strive to be.

What does 'baarish' (rain) mean to you? For me, it’s the peace of watching it from my window, a cup of chai in hand. It’s a reminder to find joy in simple things, a core theme we explore in my retreats.

"Can yoga really change your life?" This is the big question. My journey is a testament to its transformative power. It’s not an overnight fix, but a gradual process of self-discovery, one breath at a time.

My own yoga journey felt like the phases of the moon. It started with a seed of curiosity, and as my practice grew, so did my understanding of my body and mind. It’s a path of gradual illumination.

Like a full moon, there was a point where my transformation felt complete, radiating health and peace. My mission then became clear: to share this light with others and help them on their own journeys.

Just as the moon disappears to reappear, so does the journey of self-discovery. My story is about the power of yoga to bring you from shadow into light. I'm here to help you find your own light.

About My Philosophy: The 'Why' Behind It All

In my sessions, I’m not here to rush through counts or push you into shapes that hurt. I use my 'spy eyes' to watch your form and catch when your body is actually straining, not just when you're looking tired. If you're looking for someone to help you navigate your own physical limitations—like my own history with back pain—we’ll have a lot to talk about.
