Yoga is more than just physical posture; it is a tool for building inner strength and mental clarity. Let us work together to create a sustainable routine that helps you move from autopilot to true presence.

The Wheel Pose (Chakrasana) is a deep backbend that opens the heart and chest. This posture is excellent for strengthening the arms, shoulders, and legs while increasing energy and counteracting the effects of sitting.

The Tortoise Pose (Kurmasana) is a deep forward fold that calms the nervous system. This introspective posture encourages you to turn your focus inward, stretching the spine and promoting a sense of surrender.

Taking my meditation practice outdoors. Sitting in a simple cross-legged pose on the grass helps me feel grounded and connected to the earth's energy, bringing a sense of profound peace.

Connecting with the energy of nature. Simply touching a tree can be a grounding practice, reminding us of our connection to the living world and helping to stabilize our own energy.

Walking barefoot on the grass, a practice known as 'earthing', allows you to absorb the earth's natural energy. It's a simple way to reduce stress and feel more present in your body.

Embracing a tree is a powerful act of connection. It's a reminder that we are part of a larger ecosystem and can draw strength and stability from the natural world around us.

About Yoga for Mind & Body

You will notice I do not focus on high-intensity fitness drills. We prioritize nervous system regulation, meaning if you are stuck in 'fight-or-flight' mode from your workday, we use specific breathwork and grounding holds to signal safety to your brain. You will leave the mat feeling calm and centered, rather than just physically exhausted.

My classes are not about perfecting a handstand or hitting an aesthetic fitness milestone. We focus on functional yoga—movements that counteract the stiffness and stress caused by long hours sitting at a desk. Whether we are moving through a deep backbend like Chakrasana to open the chest or finding surrender in a forward fold, the goal is always to stop the constant mental chatter.

You will learn to use your mat as a mirror. If you find it hard to balance during a pose, it is often because your mind is scattered. We fix that by anchoring your attention to your breath. I work with clients across the National Capital Region, offering sessions that adapt to your body’s specific needs rather than forcing you into a rigid routine. We do not chase advanced shapes here; we chase how you feel when you step off the mat.

Healing is a journey, not a quick fix. If you are ready to build a consistent habit that actually makes you feel stronger, calmer, and more present, let us talk about how we can start your practice.

I am Saumya. I started with yoga to fix my body, but it eventually became the tool that cleared my mind. I do not believe in one-size-fits-all routines, so I will work with you to create a practice that actually fits your daily life.
