About Advanced Arts: Silks & Hoop
Advanced aerial training isn’t just about the tricks you see on social media. Here, we prioritize the unglamorous parts—grip strength, conditioning for active flexibility, and mastering the specific wraps—because that’s how you eventually nail those dramatic drops safely without injury.
Beyond the Basics
When you move from aerial yoga into Silks and Hoop, the game changes. This is where you trade the supportive hammock for the challenge of vertical fabric or a steel ring. Our advanced classes are designed to bridge the gap between static holds and dynamic flow.
What You Will Learn
- Aerial Silks: We break down the mechanics of Russian and French climbs, hip keys, and the technique required to execute controlled drops. You will work on building the pull-up power needed to climb consistently.
- Aerial Hoop (Lyra): We focus on mounting techniques, spinning management, and moving fluidly under and inside the bar.
Safety and Rigging
We don't take risks with your safety. All our apparatus are rigged with professional-grade swivels to allow for smooth, controlled spinning. We use 8-12 inch high-density crash mats, and our classes involve active, hands-on spotting because we know that the fear of falling is real—our job is to make sure you feel secure while you push your limits.
The Process
This isn't a passive stretching class. You will spend the first part of every session on conditioning. We believe that if you want to fly, you have to build the foundation first. Whether you are aiming for a specific routine or just want to master a new transition, we track your progress and provide the modifications you need.
Taaliyaan bajti rehni chahiye—we want you to leave every session feeling more confident than when you arrived.
