About Our Productions & Performances
For our large-scale productions, we coordinate everything from specialized lighting design and costume logistics to syncing live classical performance with digital projection. This technical integration ensures a seamless experience for audiences, whether in intimate auditoriums or on massive outdoor stages.
Art is not just about performance, it is about creating an environment where the audience can experience Rasa. Whether it is the visual grandeur of 'Govardhana Leela' or the intense narrative of 'Kathaastra', our goal is to bridge the gap between ancient epics and the modern viewer.
Our approach to these productions is rooted in deep research. We do not just perform; we reconstruct. For 'Kathaastra', staged during the silver jubilee of ISKCON Bangalore, we focused on the technical complexity of Arjuna's penance. Similarly, our work in 'Punyakoti' at The Bhavan in London showcased how a Karnataka folktale can resonate with international audiences when presented with the right balance of Kathak and Harikatha.
Technically, we push the boundaries of what traditional dance drama can be. We utilize LED projection backdrops and synchronized multimedia, which requires a highly disciplined crew to manage cues for war scenes, divine entries, and set transitions. Our productions often involve large ensembles of 20 to 30 performers, requiring meticulous backstage management of heritage costumes, period props, and rapid changes.
We design these shows to be versatile. We have successfully taken our productions from compact 60-minute formats suitable for smaller venues to 120-minute spectacles featuring war chariots and extensive casts. If you are looking to bring a production to your city or institution, we handle the full technical script, allowing the venue to focus on the logistics while we ensure the soul of the story remains intact.
