Bringing ancient tales to life through the grace of Kathak. From intricate Abhinaya to powerful thematic choreographies, I create performances that connect deeply with our cultural roots.

About this collection

When planning a performance rooted in mythology, we focus heavily on Abhinaya, which is the art of expression. I work closely with you to ensure the narrative, whether it is a specific scene from the Ramayan or a Shiv-centric piece, aligns with your event’s theme and tone. We combine traditional Kathak bols and rhythmic footwork to narrate these stories, ensuring the essence remains authentic and engaging for your audience.

Storytelling is the heart of Kathak. In our mythological and spiritual performances, we go beyond simple steps to explore the layers of Indian epics. Whether we are presenting a focused solo piece or a larger Sāttvatī ensemble production, the goal is always to create a dialogue with the Rasikas (audience members).

How We Approach Mythological Themes

Our performances are grounded in years of training under the guru-shishya parampara. For events focusing on themes like the Ramayan or Mahashivaratri, we curate specific sequences that balance technical Nritta (footwork) with narrative Abhinaya. We find that audiences appreciate the context, so we often include brief, conversational introductions in English or Hindi to bridge the gap for those less familiar with classical nuances.

Customization for Your Event

We understand that every stage is different. A temple or religious function requires a different pace and energy compared to a corporate gathering or a theatre show. My team and I are flexible with:

  • Format: We can provide intimate solos for focused settings or larger troupe ensembles (4-6 dancers) for stage productions.
  • Music & Atmosphere: Depending on the event, we can incorporate live recitation of rhythmic bols or use studio-mastered tracks that elevate the spiritual tone.
  • Logistics: While we are based in Bangalore, we travel across India for performances. We simply require a wooden or non-slip dance floor and a private green room to ensure our presentation is professional and polished.

If you have a specific story or occasion in mind, let us discuss how we can bring that vision to your stage.

Kathak is my life's work, a continuous conversation between me and my gurus. When I perform mythological pieces, I am not just dancing, I am sharing a lineage, and I love bringing that same depth of storytelling to your stage, whether it is a solo or a group performance with my students from the Sāttvatī School.
