A special Diwali chanting session with my students, surrounded by candlelight. These moments of shared chanting and meditation bring a deep sense of peace and connection, filling the room with positive vibrations.
About Moments of Stillness & Meditation
You do not need to be a seasoned practitioner to find peace here. We focus on simple, accessible techniques like Yoga Nidra and basic Pranayama—breathwork designed to settle the nervous system quickly. Even if your mind feels busy, these short, guided sessions are crafted to help you detach from daily stress and find a space of genuine rest.
Many of us come to the mat looking for more than just physical movement. In our sessions, whether at our Hauz Khas studio or during a retreat in the hills of Coorg or the mountains of Leh, we prioritize the internal shift. We use the principle of 'Yogas citta vritti nirodhah'—the cessation of the fluctuations of the mind—as our guiding light.
Our approach to meditation is practical. We do not ask you to clear your mind completely; that rarely happens. Instead, we use guided visualizations, sound healing with chanting, and rhythmic Pranayam to give your thoughts a place to land. It is about learning to observe your breath without judgment.
In our high-altitude retreats, we focus on oxygen-enriched breathwork, while our heritage escapes lean into restorative Yin sequences. By the end of a session, the goal is simple: to leave with a quieter heart and a clearer perspective. Whether you are dealing with burnout, seeking deeper sleep, or just need a pause, these moments of stillness provide the grounding you need to carry back into your day.
