Mindfulness & Guided Relaxation
Modern life keeps us on edge, but true health begins when we learn to switch off. These sessions are designed to help you disconnect from stress and reconnect with your inner balance.
This video shows our class in Savasana (Corpse Pose), a state of conscious relaxation. This practice is crucial for integrating the benefits of the asanas and achieving deep mental rest.
On World Meditation Day, we held a special session focused entirely on meditation. This is a core part of our offering to help employees develop mindfulness as a skill.
After a sequence of energizing backbends like Bhujangasana (Cobra Pose), we guide the class into a period of rest to allow the body and nervous system to relax completely.
A quiet moment of Savasana at the end of a session. This final resting pose is non-negotiable in our classes as it helps reduce fatigue and calm the entire system.
About Mindfulness & Guided Relaxation
It is easy to think relaxation is just lying down, but there is a technique to it that most people miss. When I guide you through Savasana or Yoga Nidra, we are specifically targeting the nervous system to shift it from a state of stress to a state of rest. It is not about simply sleeping, but about maintaining a conscious awareness that clears the mental clutter you have accumulated throughout your day.
Many people ask me why they struggle to feel relaxed even when they take time off. The reason is that our minds are constantly active, processing everything from office deadlines to personal worries. In our guided relaxation sessions, we do not just ask you to rest. We teach you how to systematically release tension from every part of your body using techniques like Yoga Nidra, Tratak for focus, and guided meditation.
Why Guided Relaxation Matters
- Deep Nervous System Reset: Our practices move the body from the sympathetic (fight or flight) state to the parasympathetic (rest and digest) state.
- Mental Clarity: By using simple pranayama and mindfulness, we help quiet the mental chatter that leads to anxiety and insomnia.
- Practical Integration: These are not just studio techniques. I teach you how to bring this stillness into your daily life, whether you are at your desk or at home, so that stress does not pile up.
What You Can Expect
Each session is structured to ensure you walk out feeling lighter. We start by preparing the body with gentle movements to release physical stiffness, followed by guided breathing to settle the mind. The final phase involves a deep relaxation practice where you are fully supported, allowing your body to recover from the fatigue of the week. Whether you are dealing with chronic stress or just need to reset your energy levels, these sessions offer a space to breathe and simply be.
