Hula hooping is always better with friends! It was so much fun flowing with my friend Sanjna at this BMW event. Our community is all about sharing the joy and supporting each other.
It was amazing to have one of my online students from Mumbai visit the studio for an in person session. This is our intermediate kids batch, showing off their double hoop skills after two years of dedicated online practice.
About this collection
We keep the pressure low and the fun high. In every session, whether you are joining a weekend Flow Sunday or a monthly course, I provide all the professional-grade hoops so you do not need to bring a thing. We start with a somatic warm-up to loosen up, move into a few technical drills, and always end with time to just jam—no judgment, just movement.
I started IndieFlow after leaving my legal career because I realized how hard it is to actually prioritize 'play' as an adult. My workshops are designed to break that cycle. You do not need to be a gymnast or a dancer to start. If you can stand and hold a hoop, you can learn to flow.
What to Expect
My approach is to strip away the stress of perfection. In our sessions, we break down tricks into manageable, logical steps. We focus on plane control, transitions, and body awareness. For absolute beginners, we tackle the fundamentals like waist hooping and simple weaves. For those with more experience, we dive into intermediate techniques like isolations, tosses, and multi-hoop flows.
Where and Who
We operate primarily out of my studio in OMBR Layout, Banaswadi, and host sessions at other collaborative spaces across Bengaluru.
I offer:
- Flow Sundays: Drop-in masterclasses if you want a one-off session.
- Monthly Progressive Courses: Best if you are looking to build a consistent habit and learn a full routine.
- Kids Flow Camps: A dedicated space for children aged 5 and up to build hand-eye coordination through DIY prop-making and choreography.
Why Join
This is not a rigid fitness class where you are counted down by a drill sergeant. It is a community. We have people from all walks of life—techies, students, parents—coming together to switch off their brains and just move. The equipment is provided, the environment is supportive, and the goal is simply to leave feeling a bit lighter than when you walked in. If you have ever felt like you forgot how to have fun, this is the place to start.
IndieFlow
I'm Sarena. After leaving my job as a lawyer, I started IndieFlow to prove that you do not need to be a professional dancer to enjoy movement. I am just here to show you that with a little practice and a lot of play, you can learn to spin a hoop and actually enjoy the process.
