Why Hand Embroidery Matters to Me
Embroidery is more than just making something pretty. For me, it’s about stories and memories stitched into cloth - sometimes it’s a saree you want to pass down, sometimes it’s just making an old kurta feel special again. I started this journey because I love the slow, mindful process and the way every custom piece means something personal.
What We Can Make Together
- Custom saree embroidery on silks, cottons, or even that plain blouse sitting in your cupboard. Want Zardosi, Kasuti, or a mix? We try it all.
- Men’s kurtas and kids’ wear aren’t left behind - hand embroidery can be for everyone.
- Upcycled embroidered clothing is big for me. If you’ve got an old Kanjeevaram or a favorite top, let’s give it a fresh story.
- Home and lifestyle: think framed hoop art, or even quirky stuff like embroidered phone case inserts.
My Craft & Approach
I’ve been doing this since 1999, and I’m GI certified in traditional Kasuti embroidery. That means you’re getting real, heritage-quality work. I use over 25 styles, from Kantha to Sashiko, depending on what fits your vibe.
The Process
We’ll chat about your idea, figure out the design together, then I do my thing, slowly stitching it to life. Sometimes it takes a while, but that’s what makes each piece feel special and not mass produced.

My Story
We’re Sameeksha. Embroidery isn’t just decoration for us—it’s memory, emotion, and a bit of amma’s (mom’s) wisdom stitched in. Started this place so those stories don’t get lost. Every time a student makes something new—like earrings for her little one—it’s pure magic. Needle, thread, and a lot of heart. Teaching hand embroidery keeps us connected, gives us joy. It’s addictive, honestly. Once you start, you’ll see.
