- Edging: Precision heat-cutting for organza or tissue fabrics to prevent fraying at the scallops.
- Durability: Piping or facing cloth attached to the inner side of the border.

Heavy Bridal Zardosi & Butta Work

Design Specifications
- Motifs: Traditional designs such as Peacocks, Lotuses, or heavy floral creepers.
- Materials: Tarnish-resistant antique gold or silver Zari, real glass Kundans, and micro-pearls.
- Drape: Adds significant weight to the saree, creating a stiff, regal drape suitable for main ceremonies.
Finishing
- Pallu: Heavy handcrafted Latkans (tassels) featuring bead clusters or embroidered potlis.
- Backing: Border backed with soft facing fabric to prevent wire abrasion against skin.
Signature 'Katha' Storytelling Pallu
Scope of Work
- Concept Pallu: Full-coverage embroidery depicting a specific narrative (e.g., Wedding Doli, Pichwai Art, Temple Architecture).
- Personalization: Incorporation of Bride and Groom names or wedding dates into the design.
- Border: Includes a matching heavy intricate border for the rest of the saree length.
Advanced Techniques
- Figurative Work: Appliqué and 3D embroidery used to create depth for figures (gods, humans, animals).
- Detailing: French knots and silk thread shading used for facial features, petals, or feathers.
- Materials: Complex mix of Zardosi, velvet patches, silk threads, cutdana, and semi-precious stones.
Process
- Design: Includes consultation to sketch the specific story or concept before production.
- Note: Saree fabric cost is extra. Extremely dense full-body jaal work may exceed the listed range.
About Custom Saree Embroidery
A Saree That Speaks for You
I don’t just stitch on fabric - I stitch on memories. Every saree I work on is special because it carries a bit of your story. Whether you want to revive an old favourite or create something unique for a big day, custom embroidery turns an ordinary saree into a piece that's totally yours.
What I Do
- Elegant border embroidery or full saree and pallu sagas - you decide how much drama you want.
- I blend your ideas with my design sense. We work together, sketching out motifs and patterns that fit your saree’s colours and weave.
- Motifs range from Radha Krishna and wedding processions to 3D florals, peacocks, and geometric patterns. If you want something modern, I mix traditional designs with checks, Katdana beads, and sequins for a fresh look.
Craft & Techniques
- Zardosi and Aari saree work for rich, detailed finishes.
- Beads, pearls, sequins, stones, and 3D embroidery add texture.
- Cut-work for scalloped edges.
- I can even stitch in names or dates for extra personal touch.

My Story
Hi, we’re Blouse House. For us, every blouse or saree is not just a piece of cloth – it’s a katha (story). We love mixing culture, tradition, and a pinch of modern style. Our Katha Collection is all about emotions stitched into each thread. Handlooms are close to our heart too, so with The Six Yard Project, we bring you sarees straight from the weavers. We’re here to turn your big moments into heirlooms.
My Work
Custom Blouses & Sarees - We design hand-embroidered blouses for weddings, muhurthams, and special occasions. Saree curation is part of our Six Yard Project.
Storytelling Through Embroidery - Each piece has a katha - maybe Radha-Krishna motif, signature zardosi, or pearl work, blending tradition with a modern twist.
Collaborative Design - We work with you, appointment only, to create something royal, bold, and personal for your big day.
Heirloom Pieces - More than a blouse - it’s a keepsake, crafted to be unforgettable and cherished for years.
