A saree is more than just fabric—it is a canvas for your memories. I work with you to turn your sarees into personalized heirlooms using traditional hand embroidery techniques.

This vibrant magenta Kanjeevaram silk saree was a custom project, brought to life with Kamal Kadai embroidery. The design features floral and butterfly motifs along the golden border, showcasing a traditional weave stitch from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

A close-up view of the Kamal Kadai embroidery on a Kanjeevaram silk saree's border. You can see the detail in the woven stitch that forms the flower petals, a technique that adds beautiful texture and dimension to the fabric.

Another detail of the custom Kamal Kadai work, showing the delicate floral vine. I carefully select thread colors to complement the saree's base, ensuring the embroidery enhances the beauty of the original textile.

The body of the Kanjeevaram saree features scattered floral butis, hand-embroidered to match the intricate border. This technique adds a subtle richness to the entire length of the saree.

A closer look at the pallu of the Kanjeevaram, where the Kamal Kadai embroidery is most dense. The combination of flowers and whimsical butterflies creates a joyful, celebratory feel.

This image highlights the interplay between the woven zari of the Kanjeevaram and the hand-stitched Kamal Kadai butterflies. It's a beautiful fusion of two distinct textile arts.

The rich texture of the Kamal Kadai flowers and butterflies against the shimmering silk and gold of the Kanjeevaram border. This is the kind of detail that makes a hand-embroidered saree a true heirloom.

This custom-made Kota cotton saree features delicate Zardosi embroidery. The video shows the small, elegant paisley butis scattered across the body of the saree, adding a touch of metallic shimmer to the lightweight fabric.

About Custom Embroidered Sarees

When I work on your saree, I focus on the finish as much as the design. For styles like Kasuti or Zardosi, I ensure the backside is as clean as the front, which helps keep your heirloom-quality fabrics safe from snags or loose threads over time.

Embroidery is a way to give your clothes a new life, whether it is a brand-new blouse or a Kanjeevaram that has been in your family for years. When you bring your saree to me, we start by talking about the story you want it to tell. Are you looking to highlight the border, or do you want scattered floral butis across the body?

I work with various fabrics, from lightweight Kota cotton to heavy silk, and I adapt my techniques to suit the texture. If you have an old saree that has stains or minor damage, I often suggest upcycling. We can creatively cover these areas with applique or new embroidered motifs, turning a garment you were hesitant to wear into your favorite piece again.

My approach is slow and deliberate. I am a GI-certified artisan for Kasuti, so you will often find me using these intricate, counted-thread patterns that require patience and precision. If you prefer the shimmer of Zardosi or the textured appeal of Kamal Kadai, I can incorporate those too. Because I do not mass-produce, I spend time on each motif, ensuring the thread tension matches the fabric so the drape remains natural.

Since I work primarily on fabric provided by you, please let me know the material type when we chat. This helps me suggest the best embroidery styles that will not weigh down or damage your base fabric. Whether it is a wedding saree or a simple cotton drape for daily wear, I am here to help you stitch your story.
