Custom Hand-Stitched Hoop Art & Framed Textiles
Embroidery isn't just for your wardrobe. From intricate Kasuti patterns to botanical florals, we transform needle and thread into meaningful art for your walls.
The satisfying process of filling in a geometric pattern with a textured stitch. This video shows the work in progress, from the initial outline to the nearly finished piece of hoop art.
A work-in-progress shot of a floral hoop art design. You can see the pencil outline on the fabric, which I gradually bring to life with different colored threads and stitches.
Another stage of the floral hoop art project. The combination of different stitches, like the satin stitch for petals and stem stitch for branches, creates a rich and varied texture.
The floral hoop art is taking shape. I love combining different elements, from freestyle flowers to structured, linear patterns, to create a balanced and interesting composition.
The finished floral hoop art, ready to be displayed. It's so satisfying to see a design come together, and I hope it brings as much joy to its owner as it brought me to create it.
A close-up of the work-in-progress hoop art, showing the detail of the stitches. Each element is carefully considered to contribute to the overall design.
This video shows a finished piece of Kasuti hoop art. The geometric, reversible pattern of Kasuti looks stunning when framed in a hoop and displayed as wall decor.
A collection of my geometric hoop art pieces. Using different color combinations and patterns, I can create modern, graphic art that still honors traditional counted-thread techniques.
These are two examples of framed Kasuti embroidery. The traditional 'gopura' or temple tower motif is set against a background of 'khunn' fabric, creating a beautiful piece of heritage wall art.

About Hoop Art & Framed Textiles
We work on high-quality fabrics like linen or cotton, ensuring the motifs are tension-perfect within the wooden hoops. If you have a specific color palette for your home or want a personalized gift, we’ll sketch the design first before we pick up a needle, ensuring the final piece matches your vision exactly.
Art That Tells a Story
For us, embroidery is a way to slow down and create something that lasts. While much of what we do at our Koramangala studio involves apparel, hoop art gives us the freedom to play with texture and composition in a way that creates a focal point for your living space.
Our Approach to Hoop Art
We specialize in two distinct directions:
- Geometric Precision (Kasuti & Sashiko): As a GI-certified artisan for Kasuti, I love bringing these traditional, knot-less counted-thread patterns into modern frames. These are perfect if you appreciate clean, symmetrical designs that look stunning on gallery walls.
- Botanical & Organic: We also take commissions for fluid, floral, and botanical designs. These are stitched with satin and stem stitches to create depth and movement on the fabric.
How We Work Together
- The Concept: You tell us the space you are looking to fill or the emotion you want to capture. If it's a gift, tell us about the person receiving it.
- The Sketch: We finalize the design on paper. For Kasuti, this involves calculating the grid. For florals, this involves tracing the flow.
- The Stitch: Each piece is handmade. We don't use machinery, which means the process takes time, but it results in a level of detail and texture you cannot find in mass-produced decor.
Whether you need a single 4-inch piece for your desk or a collection of frames for a gallery wall, we are here to help you bring that vision to life.
Sameeksha
We started Sameeksha to keep these stories alive, one stitch at a time. Embroidery is our way of slowing down, and we love helping you bring that same mindful, handmade magic into your own home decor.
