Step into our creative sanctuary in Koramangala. This is where we teach, design, and bring thread to life, one stitch at a time.

I believe learning a hand skill like embroidery is wonderful for your mental well-being. All you need is a needle and thread to create magic. My goal at Sameeksha is to pass on this legacy, as I feel if we don't teach these skills now, they may not reach the next generation.

For many, embroidery is a memory, a skill passed from a mother or grandmother. At my school, I teach over 25 types of embroidery, helping you create your own legacy to share with your loved ones, keeping the story of this craft alive one stitch at a time.

The process of embroidery is meditative. Here, I am demonstrating the herringbone stitch on a blouse piece. I always emphasize the importance of neatness on both sides of the fabric, as it reflects the patience and care invested in the work.

A close-up video of my hands at work, carefully pulling the needle and thread to form a geometric Sashiko pattern. Each stitch is a deliberate, mindful movement.

A student practicing Kasuti embroidery in my workshop. It is a joy to guide others as they learn the precise, counted-thread technique.

This video shows the process of finishing the edge of a saree with tassels. This final touch, known as edge finishing, gives the garment a professional and complete look.

The first step in many of my projects is transferring the design onto the fabric. Here, an artisan is tracing peacock feather motifs onto a saree before the embroidery begins.

A tour of my studio in Koramangala, Bangalore. The walls are filled with framed embroidery art, and the space is always ready to welcome visitors and students.

My studio is a treasure trove of textiles and inspiration. Racks of finished sarees, antique furniture, and walls adorned with my work create a warm and creative atmosphere.

About My Studio & Creative Process

Every piece begins with a deliberate choice of technique, whether it is Kasuti, Zardosi, or Sashiko, and we always prioritize neatness on both the front and the back. When you commission work, we discuss the design, colors, and intent before a single thread is pulled, ensuring the final piece carries the personal story you want it to tell.
