Hand-Embroidered Maggam Bridal Blouse
Design & Fit
- Consultation to finalize neckline (Deep U, Pot, Square) and back design.
- Princess cut stitching with single or double padded cups for structure.
- Includes high-quality hooks, eyelets, and dori tie-ups.
Materials
- Base fabric: Premium Raw Silk, Velvet, or fabric matching the saree (up to 1.2 meters).
- Lining: Cotton or butter crepe lining.
Embroidery Work
- Technique: Hand embroidery using Zardosi wire, sugar beads, sequins, and silk threads.
- Coverage: Heavy work on elbow-length sleeves, defined neckline borders, and back yoke motifs.
- Finishing: Includes matching hand-made fabric tassels (latkans).
Saree-to-Lehenga Conversion
Pattern Engineering
- Strategic cutting of the provided saree to preserve Zari borders for the hem and Pallu for the bodice or drape.
Skirt Construction
- Stitching of a pleated lehenga skirt.
- Addition of high-quality crepe lining.
- Installation of a hard-net (can-can) underlayer for flare and shape.
- Heavy duty concealed zipper and hook closures.
Blouse Tailoring
- Creation of a new blouse from excess saree fabric or studio-sourced matching fabric.
- Note: High price range includes fresh Maggam work on the new blouse.
Custom South Indian Langa Voni
Skirt (Langa)
- Floor-length skirt stitched from Banarasi Silk, Kanjeevaram Art Silk, or Brocade.
- Features Box or Knife pleats with a stiff canvas (can-can) layer.
- Adjustable waistband with heavy hook closures.
Blouse
- Designer blouse featuring medium-density Maggam work on sleeves and neckline.
Dupatta (Voni)
- 2.5-meter draped dupatta in Net, Organza, or Silk.
- Includes attached borders, light scattered motifs, and edge finishing (fall/pico).
Bespoke Bridal Lehenga Set
Fabrication
- Sourcing of Raw Silk, Georgette, or Velvet fabrics.
- 10 to 12 kali (panel) cut for circular flare.
- Reinforced with double-layer can-can mesh for maximum volume.
Embroidery
- Technique: Machine embroidery base highlighted with hand-done Zardosi, stones, and sequins.
- Placement: Heavy work on the blouse, panel motifs on the skirt, and heavy border work on the hemline.
Accessories
- Full-length (2.5m) dupatta with border work and scattered buttis.
- Oversized, custom-made fabric waist tassels.

The Real Magic: Our Embroidery & Half Sarees
We live for intricate handwork. Maggam and Zardosi embroidery are our jam - every handcrafted Maggam embroidery blouse is done by our in-house crew, with silk threads, beads, sequins, and those classic peacock or paisley motifs. Half sarees (langa voni), especially, are close to our hearts; we make them with flowing Kanjeevaram or Banarasi skirts, and custom half saree designs that mix old-school spirit with fresh colours.
How We Work With You
You bring the ideas. We do the rest - from measurements and cutting to final stitch and detailed embroidery, it’s all done in our studio. If you need a rush job, I’ll try my best - we once made a custom skirt from a saree in two days flat. No drama, just making sure you walk out happy.

My Story
Namaste! We’re Designer Trends Bridal Studio - started small, just me and my love for Indian textiles, especially maggam work blouses. That detailed handwork is our heart. Now, we’ve grown into making grand bridal half sarees and even kids’ gowns. Seeing our designs on Bigg Boss Kannada, wow, that’s a feeling!
