Our Wellness Philosophy: A Mindful Approach
We believe wellness is a journey, not a destination. At SAMA, we have created a space to disconnect from the noise, breathe, and find your own rhythm.
What is a calm mind? In this video, our Program Director, Meghna Verma, shares her perspective. She explains it as a state of silence where you can be present without delving into too many things, which is the state we help you cultivate at SAMA.
The demand for low tech, device free spaces is rising, and I am glad to provide such a sanctuary. My philosophy is built on being present, which is why I encourage everyone to unplug and reconnect with themselves during our sessions.
Self care is evolving beyond simple routines. I focus on a personalized, holistic view of wellness, helping you become more aware of your sleep, moods, and emotional states to build a sustainable practice.
I've observed a shift in how we approach wellness. It's less about aesthetics and more about supporting your energy and finding a sustainable balance. My classes are designed to foster this inner calm and vitality.
The calm we've always needed is finally getting the space it deserves. My practice is centered on recovery, slowing down, and mindfulness, creating a space for you to find the mental and physical rest you need.
I believe fitness is as much mental as it is physical. My approach ensures the mind and body work together, using movement and breath to calm the mental chatter and create a truly integrated state of well being.
This simple equation captures the essence of what a class at SAMA offers. It is a dedicated time to prepare the body through movement and calm the mind through meditation, bringing you into a state of balance.
Digital distractions can significantly impact our ability to rest. My 'Sleep Better' series is designed to calm the mind in a physical environment, away from screens, helping you disconnect and prepare for a restorative night's sleep.
Many of us struggle with sleep, and turning to devices often makes it worse. I offer evening yoga, Yoga Nidra, and sound meditation to help you disconnect before bedtime and find a natural path to better sleep.
About Our Wellness Philosophy
When you step into our Whitefield studios, you will notice what is missing: mirrors, loud music, and phones. We remove these distractions because true wellness starts with turning your attention inward, not outward. Whether you are here for aerial yoga or a breathwork session, the focus is entirely on your internal experience and building sustainable energy for your daily life.
At SAMA, we moved away from the standard gym culture because we saw a gap in how people were caring for their mental health. Modern life keeps us constantly plugged in and visually stimulated, which is why our studios in Hopefarm and Siddapura are designed to be the opposite. By removing mirrors, we encourage you to focus on how a movement feels in your body rather than how it looks. This shift changes the entire nature of your practice.
We focus on healthspan, or the quality of your years, rather than temporary physical outcomes. This is why our classes range from rigorous aerial yoga and Pilates to quiet, restorative sound baths and meditation. Our instructors lead sessions that combine movement and stillness, allowing you to regulate your nervous system. Whether you join us for a corporate wellness workshop in your office or a prenatal yoga class, the core remains the same: a device-free hour where you can just be. We do not promise a quick fix. We offer a practice that helps you build resilience against the daily mental chatter, helping you find a sustainable, calm state of mind that stays with you long after you leave the mat.
