Learn real striking mechanics, from power building to defensive reflexes, in a supportive environment. Whether you are a total beginner or looking to spar, we focus on technique over brute force.
A look at a kickboxing technique of the week: a jab, cross, and roundhouse kick combination. We break down each movement and then practice it with partners on pads to build muscle memory and defensive reflexes like the 'check' block.
A student working on his boxing combinations on the heavy bag at our HSR Layout location. Bag work is essential for developing power, footwork, and endurance for stand-up fighting.
A light boxing sparring drill between two students. The goal here is to work on timing, distance, and defense, not to hurt each other. It is about getting comfortable exchanging punches and moving forward.
Practicing a midrange boxing drill on the rooftop. Here, we are working on landing a clean cross while maintaining proper distance and guard. How you practice is how you will fight.
In our classes, we emphasize putting full power into your strikes during drills. This not only builds stamina but also teaches you how to manage your energy during a real fight.
This drill is great for beginners to overcome the fear of getting hit. We use the 'Philly Shell' defense to practice blocking and rolling with punches, focusing on technique and reflexes over force.
Students taking turns on the heavy bag to practice their boxing combinations. This drill helps build stamina and ensures everyone gets to work on their power and form under a coach's eye.

About Striking: Kickboxing & Boxing
We do not just hit pads. In every session, we break down the mechanics of a jab or a cross, then move straight to controlled partner drills. You will learn to manage your energy and distance, ensuring you leave the mat with better technique, not just tired muscles.
Strategy Over Force
I treat striking like a game of chess. You will not find mindless punching here. We focus on the flow between striking and movement, using defensive techniques like the 'Philly Shell' and counter-attacking drills to teach you how to see an opening before you take it. Whether you are hitting the heavy bag or shadowboxing, the goal is always control and precision.
Where We Train
We operate at the Ippon Institute in HSR Layout and our academy in Basapura, near Electronic City. These are functional training spaces equipped with heavy bags, mats, and the tools you need to build stamina. We prioritize natural ventilation and an environment where everyone helps their partner improve.
Who This Is For
Striking classes are open to everyone. We have kids as young as four, students, and working professionals who want a better alternative to a standard gym workout. We start with basics like stance, balance, and simple combinations, so you do not need to be a pro to step on the mat. Our weekend batches are popular for beginners who want to build a foundation without the pressure of a competition-focused environment.
