About The Art of Striking: Boxing & Kickboxing
We don't do 'cardio kickboxing' routines where you punch the air for a workout. Here, you will spend weeks on stance, balance, and defensive checks before you even think about throwing a knockout punch. You need to earn your gloves, and if you are coming to spar, be ready to defend what you dish out.
Striking is not about aggression; it is about control. At Indian Combat Sports Academy (ICSA), we teach the science of the stand-up game. Whether you are stepping into the gym for your first MMA class or you are a fighter looking to sharpen your jab, the process is the same.
The Fundamentals
We start from the ground up. Before you move to the heavy bags, you need to master your stance and movement. We drill basic jab-cross combinations until they are muscle memory, emphasizing footwork that keeps you balanced and ready to pivot. If your feet are wrong, your punch will have no power.
Defense and Sparring
A good striker knows how to block. We drill head movement, parrying, and checking kicks regularly. Once you demonstrate control, you can join our supervised sparring sessions inside the Octagon. We keep it controlled—this is not a street fight, it is training. You are here to learn, not to get hurt.
