About Punch Maarna Nahi, Boxer Banna Seekho (Don't Just Punch, Learn to be a Boxer)
Hitting the bag is the easy part. Learning to move, react, and time your combinations is where the real boxing starts. When I guide you through one-on-one pad work, I am not just holding targets for you to hit—I am throwing jabs and hooks back at you to force your defense to sharpen. You aren't here for a gym membership; you are here to build your fight IQ in the ring.
Building the Foundation
Boxing is about muscle memory, not just raw aggression. In our academy in Katwaria Sarai, we strip away the distractions of fancy, air-conditioned gyms. You train in the open air, where the only thing that matters is your stance, your guard, and your movement.
Why Technique Comes First
Many people think boxing is just swinging your arms. If you don't master the basics, you are just exercising, not training. We focus heavily on:
- Shadow Boxing: This is your best friend. It builds muscle memory and lets you visualize your opponent. You learn to control your space and maintain balance before you ever step into the ring.
- Pad Work: This is where we sharpen your reflexes. I use focus mitts to mimic real fight scenarios. You learn to throw crisp, quick combinations while keeping your guard high.
- Footwork Drills: A boxer who cannot move their feet is a stationary target. We drill stepping in, stepping out, and pivoting until it becomes second nature.
The 'Desi' Approach
We are not a commercial fitness club. We are an outdoor boxing academy. Whether you are a beginner learning your first straight punch or a regular student looking to spar, the principles are the same: focus, discipline, and hard work. If you show up consistently, you will see the results in your speed, your power, and your confidence. This isn't for everyone—it's for those who are ready to put in the work.
