One-on-One Boxing Pad Work and Ring Craft
Step into the ring with me. I hold the pads, you put in the sweat. We drill your jab, guard, and footwork until your technique is sharp and your mindset is that of a fighter.
Here, I am working with a client on his jab-cross combination. I focus on making sure the punches are sharp and the form is tight, providing instant feedback to correct and improve his technique.
I train anyone with the will to learn, regardless of experience. This session focuses on developing power and speed in a female client, drilling fundamental boxing combinations on the pads.
This is not just about hitting pads; it's about learning to control the ring. In this sparring drill, we work on movement, angles, and defensive posture inside the ropes.
Dedication means training anytime, anywhere. This night session in the park focuses on mitt work drills to improve speed and reaction time, proving that the grind doesn't stop when the sun goes down.
Another look at our outdoor night training. I am calling out combinations, pushing my client to maintain her form and power even in a different environment. We train no matter the location.
My coaching is flexible. We can train in my gym or take it outdoors to a park. Here, I am working on basic stance and punching technique with a client who is getting back into boxing after a break.
Training can also be dynamic and involve partners. This video shows a mix of agility drills, bodyweight exercises, and partner pad work, creating a high-energy session that builds both skill and stamina.
About One-on-One: Pad Work and Ring Craft
When we step into the ring or set up pads, I am not there to cheerlead. I am there to correct your form in real-time. If you drop your guard or lose your footing, you will hear me say 'Gard rakh' immediately. You get 20 minutes of intense, dedicated mitt work every session. It is not about fancy movements; it is about building your speed, snap, and reaction time until it becomes muscle memory.
Boxing is a fight, not a dance. In my one-on-one sessions, I strip away the fluff and focus on the fundamentals that actually matter in the ring. We cover ring intelligence, which includes how to cut off space, how to control your breathing under pressure, and how to throw combinations that actually land.
The Training Process
- Stance and Basics: Whether you are a total beginner or an athlete, we start with the stance. You learn to move your feet before you learn to throw big hooks.
- Mitt Work: This is the core of our technical training. We alternate between focus mitts to sharpen your accuracy and heavy bag rounds to build your power.
- Defensive Drills: We don't just hit; we learn to protect. We run controlled contact drills for reaction time, head movement simulation, and defensive maneuvering to ensure you aren't a stationary target.
Where We Train
My gym in Yamuna Vihar is fully equipped for this, but I take the training where the work needs to be done. We can head to the park if you need a change of pace. The location changes, but the intensity remains the same. Jo badalta hai, wo aage badhta hai. If you want to learn how to fight, you have to be ready to show up consistently. Expect direct instructions, brutal core work, and zero shortcuts. If you are serious about becoming a boxer, let's get to work.
