About Meet Our Handmade Puppets
After every performance, we do not just pack up and leave. We always stick around for a "meet the puppets" session, where we break the fourth wall to show you exactly how our strings and rods create that magic. You and your guests get a chance to see the puppets up close, ask questions about our handmade designs, and even try basic manipulation yourselves.
Our puppets are more than just props, they are the heart of our storytelling. We hand-build everything from traditional wooden marionettes to simple sock puppets and paper cutouts, ensuring each character has a distinct personality. For our Bunraku-style shows, like the one featuring 'Popo' thatha, we focus on intricate rod movements that allow for deeply emotional storytelling. If you prefer something more agile, our marionette shows use complex string work to bring energetic characters to life.
We do not believe in keeping the stage behind a mysterious curtain. We perform everywhere from intimate home terraces and art galleries to large school auditoriums, bringing our own portable black backdrop and lighting setup. Because our puppets are handmade, we have full control over the narrative and can adapt the storytelling to fit different age groups.
Beyond just the main show, we offer an interactive workshop format where we teach the mechanics of puppetry. This is popular for schools and community events where participants want to learn how to build or perform with their own characters. Whether you want a single narrative show or a full workshop experience, we travel across Bangalore and beyond to bring these stories to your venue.
