My portable stage is designed for maximum versatility. Whether you are hosting a small playdate in your living room or a larger party in a clubhouse, I only need a 6x6 ft area to set up. It is compact enough to fit almost anywhere, but once the fabric backdrop goes up, the entire room feels like a mini theatre, ready for a story.
When you book a show, you are not just getting a puppeteer; you are getting a complete, self-contained theatre experience. My portable booth features a 5-6ft fabric backdrop that instantly captures the kids' attention, separating the 'show zone' from the rest of the party.
What to expect with setup
I arrive early to ensure everything is perfect. I bring my own portable sound system and headset mic, so you do not need to worry about providing speakers or technical help. The setup is safe and engaging for kids aged 2 to 8.
Small spaces vs. large venues
I have performed in cozy apartment living rooms and sprawling green lawns. The puppets I use—plush hand puppets for funny stories, finger puppets for interaction, and occasional marionettes—are chosen based on the venue size and the crowd energy. If you have a larger group, I use bolder, more expressive characters that keep the back rows just as excited as the front.
After the show
The magic does not end when the curtain closes. I always invite the kids to meet the puppets up close. Seeing a shy toddler reach out to touch a monkey puppet or a curious child ask about the shadow screen is the best part of my day. It turns the performance into a real conversation.
