Our Yoga Teacher Training Approach
Yoga is about your presence, not perfection. Whether you are looking to become a certified instructor or simply want to deepen your personal practice, our weekend program offers a safe, grounded, and holistic way to learn.
My approach to teaching is centered on safe and mindful alignment. In this clip, I guide a student through the nuances of Ashwasanchalanasana (Equestrian Pose), focusing on how small adjustments, like coming onto the fingertips, can lift the chest and deepen the posture correctly.
It is a joy to see my students complete their 200-hour journey. This is more than a course; it is a deep dive into yoga philosophy, anatomy, and meditation that changes how you see the world. Listen to what our graduates have to say about their experience.
We begin every Teacher Training Course with a traditional puja. This sacred ceremony sets our intention, fosters a sense of community, and marks the beginning of a shared spiritual journey. It is a beautiful way to ground ourselves before we dive into our studies.
This is a transformative experience designed to deepen your practice and prepare you to teach with confidence. My 200-Hour TTC course runs on weekends from 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM, making it accessible even with a busy schedule.
Your breath is your most powerful tool for finding calm. Here, I guide you through the 3-5-3-5 box breathing technique, a simple yet profound pranayama practice to reset your nervous system and relieve stress. This is one of the many techniques you will master.
The journey to Sirsasana (Headstand) is built on a foundation of safety and proper technique. I demonstrate how to use wall support to build strength and confidence, breaking down each step from hand placement to the final, graceful lift.
Nothing makes me happier than hearing about the positive impact my classes have on my students' lives. From improved flexibility to a newfound perspective on yoga, their words reflect the warm, welcoming community we have built together.
About this collection
My training is not just about getting a certificate. It is about how you feel on the mat and how you hold space for yourself and others. We meet on weekends from 7 AM to 2 PM, making it possible to balance your current work or studies while diving into the traditional roots of yoga.
When you join us at our Sahakar Nagar studio for the 200-hour Yoga Alliance certified course, we go far beyond learning poses. You will explore anatomy, the Patanjali Yoga Sutras, and the science behind the movements. I believe that safety comes first, which is why we spend so much time on proper alignment.
During practice, you will hear me say, "eradu ottige ettabedi ondondhe" (don't lift both together, one by one). It is a simple reminder that applies to life as much as it does to asanas—we must move with awareness and precision rather than rushing. We use props like wall ropes and bolsters to support you, ensuring that you understand the mechanics of every stretch and inversion.
Our journey together is holistic. We start each batch with a traditional puja to set our intentions and create a sense of community. Throughout the course, you will experience sound healing with Tibetan bowls, guided pranayama like Nadi Shodhana, and open discussions about ethics and teaching methodology. We finish with a celebration that brings everyone together. This course is for those who want to teach with confidence, but it is also for students who simply want to see the world—and their own body—through a new, clearer lens.
