Kathak is a living, breathing art. My journey into Sufi and devotional Kathak started with a deep curiosity about how movement could translate the stillness of prayer and the ecstasy of Sufi poetry. Whether I am interpreting the profound verses of Rabia Basri or performing a traditional Shiva Dhrupad, the goal is always the same: to create a space of quiet contemplation.

Each performance is tailored to the specific energy of your event. For a corporate invocation, a crisp, precise Ganesh Vandana often sets the right tone, grounding the room. For more intimate spiritual gatherings or cultural evenings, I prefer deep dives into Sufi Kalams where we use the sawal-jawab between my footwork and the live musicians to build a narrative.

The music makes the experience. I rarely perform these pieces without a live ensemble because the improvisation between the tabla, sitar, and my ghungroos creates a spontaneous, living dialogue that a pre-recorded track simply cannot match.
