Spiritual and Mythological Dance Performances
I bring stories from our epics to life through dance, focusing on expressions and the deep emotions of our traditions.
The snow-capped mountains always remind me of Lord Shiva. Here is an impromptu dance in the snow, a small tribute to the divine energy I feel in nature's grandest landscapes.
Dancing in -4°C temperature at 12,000 feet in Gulmarg, Kashmir. This semi-classical piece is inspired by Natraj, the cosmic dancer, and was a true test of spirit and passion in the freezing cold.
A moment of pure bhakti, dancing before the magnificent statue of Shree Bahubali Bhagwan during the Pratishtha Mahotsav. This performance was my devotional offering on a very sacred evening.
This performance captures the essence of Dassera, telling a story from the Ramayan through dance. It's a powerful message of good over evil, shared through expressive semi-classical movements.
Dressed in traditional Bharatnatyam attire, I connect with the playful and divine spirit of Krishna. For me, dance and Krishna are inseparable, creating a world full of life and joy.
A sitting choreography piece dedicated to Krishna, presented with a sketch effect to give it a timeless feel. The performance uses intricate hand gestures and expressions to narrate sweet stories of the deity.
A gentle, expressive sitting performance of a lullaby for Krishna. This piece focuses on soft mudras and loving expressions to convey the tender emotion of putting the divine child to sleep.
"Radha kaise na jale" is a classic Bollywood song full of emotion. This sitting choreography explores the feelings of love and jealousy from Radha's perspective, making it perfect for Janmashtami or sangeet events.
About Spiritual & Mythological Performances
When I perform a piece about Radha or Shiva, it is not just about the technical steps. I focus heavily on Abhinaya (expressions) and Navras (nine emotions) to bring the story to life, ensuring that the audience feels the devotion in every gesture and mudra.
My spiritual and mythological acts are designed to be more than just entertainment; they are a form of Bhakti (devotion). Whether it is a Janmashtami celebration, a temple event, or a community function, I carefully select music and choreography that aligns with the specific divine theme you want to highlight.
How I Structure My Performances
- Storytelling Focus: I believe every myth has a human emotion at its core—jealousy, love, serenity, or triumph. My performances highlight these using classical and semi-classical fusion styles to make ancient stories feel relevant and moving for today's audience.
- Customized for Your Venue: Whether you have a grand stage or a small, intimate gathering at home or a temple, I adapt my choreography. For smaller spaces or audiences with limited mobility, I specialize in sitting choreography, where the focus remains on detailed hand mudras and facial expressions.
- Complete Aesthetics: Performance is also about the visual experience. I provide professional, traditional costumes, including silk sarees and temple jewelry, along with hair and makeup styling, so you get a complete, ready-to-watch act.
Performing for a crowd that connects with the story is a joy. If you are looking for a dance act that brings a sense of tradition and spiritual grace to your event, let’s discuss how we can bring those stories to life.
