Classical Pilates for Women's Health & Wellness
Programs designed for your specific stage of life, using authentic Classical Pilates to support hormonal health, bone density, and prenatal comfort.
Expectant mothers can feel confident practicing at our studio, where safety and comfort are paramount. Our prenatal program offers specially adapted exercises on equipment like the Cadillac to strengthen the body and prepare for childbirth.
During pregnancy, lower back pain is common due to postural changes. Pilates effectively decompresses the spine by strengthening core muscles and improving stability, as shown here with this gentle exercise on the Ped-o-Pull.
This video demonstrates a prenatal session with a client in her second trimester. We are working on spinal elongation and decompression to relieve lower back pain and ensure she moves through her pregnancy in a safe, supported manner.
Menopause is a transition, not a stop. As bone mass can decrease during this time, weight-bearing exercises like Pilates are crucial for maintaining bone density, improving joint health, and balancing hormones.
Pilates plays a vital role in managing postmenopausal osteoporosis. This image shows a client using the tower system, which provides resistance to help build strength and support bone health safely.
Osteoporosis is a common condition among postmenopausal women, increasing the risk of fractures. Pilates offers a safe and effective approach to maintaining bone health by focusing on strength and posture.
Pilates focuses on building strength, improving posture, and enhancing flexibility. These are all essential for supporting bone health during and after menopause, helping you stay strong and active.
About this collection
During prenatal sessions, we frequently utilize the Cadillac apparatus to provide safe, targeted spinal decompression that relieves the back tension often felt during pregnancy. This method allows us to tailor exercises to your changing posture, ensuring you maintain core stability without putting unnecessary stress on your body.
Our Approach to Women's Health
We teach Classical Pilates as a precise system rather than a general fitness workout. For women, this means we adapt the original Contrology method to address specific physiological needs—whether you are managing hormonal changes, preparing for childbirth, or strengthening your skeletal health.
Prenatal & Postnatal Support
Pregnancy introduces unique postural and physical demands. Our prenatal Pilates program focuses on maintaining pelvic floor integrity and relieving lower back strain. We avoid generic movements, instead using the Reformer and Cadillac to provide the specific support your body requires at every trimester. After childbirth, we guide you through a safe recovery process, helping to realign the pelvis and rebuild core strength with control and precision.
Managing PCOS
Polycystic Ovary Syndrome often manifests as irregular energy levels and stress. We use the low-impact, rhythmic nature of Classical Pilates to help regulate breathing and blood flow. Our sessions are designed to lower cortisol levels and build consistent, uniform strength, which can be a vital component in managing symptoms of PCOS naturally.
Menopause & Bone Health
During menopause, maintaining bone density is a primary concern. Weight-bearing exercises are critical during this phase. We incorporate specific apparatus-based movements that challenge your musculoskeletal system safely. By focusing on alignment and deep core connection, we help you improve your posture, reduce the risk of fractures, and maintain functional independence.
We operate out of our Lavelle Road studio, where all sessions follow the lineage-based training set by The Pilates Center. Whether you are a beginner or looking for clinical-level adjustments for existing conditions, our programs offer a structured, safe path forward.
