About Nutrition for Young Athletes & Parents

Parents often ask me if bread is okay before training or if protein shakes are safe for growing teens. The truth is, most young athletes are simply under-fueling because of busy school and practice schedules, not because of a lack of talent. My approach isn't about rigid diets; it's about making sure your child has the right tiffin-friendly fuel to stay energized throughout their day, not just during their match.

Navigating the demands of school, training, and growth requires more than just eating healthy. Many parents struggle to find a balance between competitive sports and a kid's basic need for energy. My approach for young athletes in Bengaluru focuses on three pillars:

  1. Tiffin-Friendly Fueling: We design meal plans that survive a school bag and taste good. Think simple, nutrient-dense snacks that your child will actually eat.
  2. Supplement Reality Checks: The market is full of aggressive marketing. I help you understand what (if anything) your child needs—and more importantly, what they don't. Safety is the priority.
  3. Growth & Hydration: Young athletes often end up under-fueling during growth spurts. We track intake to ensure they have enough energy to grow while training hard.

Through my 3-month Junior Athlete Mentorship, we move past generic advice. We cover everything from race-day fueling timelines to simple hydration protocols that stop the mid-practice crashes. I don't give you a template; we figure out what fits your child's specific training load and sport. Whether they are swimming competitively or playing football on the weekends, the goal is the same: keeping them injury-free and energized without the drama.
