The Journey to Motherhood: Safe Prenatal & Postpartum Fitness
Pregnancy is a transformation, not a limitation. I’ve been through it—the highs, the physical changes, and the recovery—and I’m here to help you move safely and feel strong every step of the way.
A moment from my maternity photoshoot, feeling strong and confident in my pregnant body. I encourage all mothers-to-be to celebrate this incredible transformation.
A collection of beautiful moments from our maternity shoot with my husband. Having a strong support system is so important, and I'm grateful for mine.
Sharing this journey with my partner has been the greatest blessing. These photos capture the joy and anticipation we felt.
Another favourite from our professional maternity shoot. These are memories I'll cherish forever.
A candid moment at 30 weeks, feeling the sunshine and embracing the final stretch of pregnancy.
Simple, happy moments on our terrace. My husband listening to the baby's kicks was a daily ritual.
The connection you feel during pregnancy is unlike anything else. I help my clients stay connected to their bodies through mindful movement.
Feeling our baby move, dreaming of the day we'd finally meet her. These moments are precious.
So much love and laughter. A healthy pregnancy journey is also about finding joy and reducing stress.
And just like that, the bump was in my arms. The moment I held my daughter for the first time, everything changed.
About The Journey to Motherhood
When I was pregnant, I didn't stop moving, I just changed how I moved. Whether you are managing back pain at 30 weeks or trying to rebuild your core postpartum, we focus on functional, safe movements. My approach isn't about heavy gym equipment or perfect aesthetics, it is about listening to your body, managing discomfort, and building a foundation of strength that actually helps you handle daily life with your little one.
My journey from pregnancy to motherhood wasn't just a personal milestone, it was a crash course in understanding what a woman’s body truly needs during these phases. As a physiotherapist, I don't believe in generic workout routines. Every movement I prescribe for my clients is something I have tested on my own body, from staying active on a stability ball until 35 weeks to gentle postnatal core restoration.
Why a Physiotherapist-Led Approach Matters
Pregnancy and postpartum aren't just times to 'get fit'—they are times to heal and prepare. When you work with me, we start with a proper assessment, not a generic class. Whether it is a 30-minute virtual session or an in-clinic visit in Bengaluru, we screen for things that matter:
- Diastasis Recti Check: Identifying abdominal separation early so we can choose exercises that heal, not strain.
- Posture Audit: Adjusting for the changes in your spine and pelvis caused by carrying the baby.
- Pain Management: Focusing on the back, neck, and knee aches that often come with motherhood.
Moving Through Every Stage
We focus on functional strength. If you are pregnant, we are building stamina for labor and the endurance needed for daily life. If you are postpartum, we are taking it 'swalpa swalpa' (little by little). We rebuild your core, strengthen your pelvic floor, and ensure your fitness routine fits into a life that now includes a baby. My goal is to make healthy living easier for you, so you can be the strong mom your 'magu' (baby) needs. You don't need to starve or over-exercise; you need to move with intention and care.

Hi, I'm Nisha. I’m a physiotherapist and fitness coach, but more importantly, I’m a mom who’s been exactly where you are. I don’t believe in perfect fitness; I believe in moving in ways that make you feel capable and pain-free, whether you're carrying a bump or a newborn.
