The Story of Mommade: Traditional Flavours from My Kitchen
I started Mommade at 72 to keep my mother's recipes alive. This is the journey of how my passion for organic ingredients and pure, preservative-free cooking became a way to share comfort with your family.
The taste of 'Maa ke Hath ka Achaar' and other homemade treats are now just a phone call away. I started this to bring the authentic flavours of a mother's kitchen directly to you.
Being featured in 'My Style' magazine as an organic store was a proud moment. For me, organic is not just a trend, it is a promise of purity and a way of life that I pour into every product I make.
My goal is simple: to make healthy, tasty, and satisfying snacks for you and your family. I use only the best natural spices and ingredients to ensure every bite is full of flavour and goodness.
India is a land of spices, and my recipes are a celebration of these rich flavours. Each product is a journey through the tastes of India, made organically and affordably.
This beautiful spice map of India shows the incredible diversity of flavours our country has to offer. I draw inspiration from these authentic, regional spices to make my pickles and snacks truly special.
About The Story of Mommade
Because I refuse to use artificial preservatives, every jar of namkeen or pickle you order is prepared in fresh, small batches right here in my Greater Kailash kitchen. This isn't mass production; it is home-cooking where I personally monitor the organic semolina, the hand-pounded spices, and the desi ghee to ensure every bite delivers the authentic taste of home.
When I transitioned from interior design to my kitchen, my goal was simple: to bring back the purity of traditional Indian food. You might wonder why my Mathris or Namakpara taste different from store-bought versions. The secret is in the constraints I set for myself. I use absolutely no commercial palm oil or chemical preservatives. Everything is kneaded with pure desi ghee and organic flours, which means the shelf life is shorter than what you see on supermarket shelves, but the nutritional value and flavour are infinitely higher.
My Kitchen Philosophy
I believe that what we feed our families is a reflection of our love. Whether I am making a batch of Bajra Mathri for the winter or roasting makhana with a light spice mix, I follow the techniques my mother taught me.
- Small Batches: I never stockpile. Your order is made once it hits my kitchen table.
- Organic Staples: From jaggery to the smallest ajwain seed, I source ingredients that are clean and naturally grown.
- Customised Needs: I understand that many of you are looking for healthier alternatives. That is why I offer baked, low-calorie, and gluten-free options like my multigrain snacks, so you can enjoy these treats without guilt.
Operating out of GK1, I deliver these flavours across Delhi NCR and ship pan-India. When you open a box from Mommade, you are not just getting a snack; you are getting a piece of a 75-year-old tradition, packed with the care and hygiene of a mother's kitchen.
Mommade
I am the face and heart behind Mommade. At 72, I traded my drafting board for a spice box, fueled by the belief that food should connect us to our roots. Every recipe here is a piece of my childhood, meant to be shared like a warm hug at your dinner table.
