This is how my journey with 'Mommade' began at the age of 75. I turned my lifelong passion for cooking and my family's traditional recipes into a small business. It is my way of sharing the pure, authentic taste of a mother's love, made with 100% natural ingredients, just for you.

I was so proud to see my small brand, Mommade Pickles and Treats, featured. It is a reminder that everything I make is based on organic principles and a commitment to natural, wholesome food.

About this collection

I do not believe in mass production, so every jar you receive is part of a small, measured batch created right here in my Greater Kailash kitchen. Because I use traditional sun-drying methods and Kachi Ghani mustard oil without any artificial vinegar or preservatives, these pickles retain a distinct crunch and flavour. When you order, I ensure each jar is packed for freshness so you get the same taste I have been feeding my own family for years.

I spent decades working as an interior designer, creating beautiful spaces for clients. While I loved that career, my soul was always in the kitchen. When the world slowed down, I started sharing my comfort food with family and friends. That small act of love grew into Mommade.

My philosophy is simple: 'Anything is Good if it is Home-Made.' My pickles are not just preserved vegetables. They are a process. I source ingredients like Ramkela mangoes and whole garlic cloves, cleaning and preparing them by hand. You will not find Sodium Benzoate or artificial vinegar in my pantry. Instead, I use Kachi Ghani mustard oil and hand-ground spices like fennel, nigella, and fenugreek to ensure natural preservation.

This approach means my pickles have a shelf life of 3 to 6 months, as they are not chemically processed for years of storage. Whether it is the winter mix of Gobi-Gajar-Shalgam or the pungent, spicy Hari Mirchi, each variety is designed to bring that authentic Punjabi flavour to your dining table.
