Authentic Homemade Pickles and Treats
I believe food should connect us to our roots. At 75, I'm sharing my heart in a jar—authentic, organic pickles crafted with love, just like my mother taught me.
This is how my journey with 'Mommade' began at the age of 75. I turned my lifelong passion for cooking and my family's traditional recipes into a small business. It is my way of sharing the pure, authentic taste of a mother's love, made with 100% natural ingredients, just for you.
My Lehsun ka Achaar is a true delight for anyone who loves garlic. I use fresh, whole cloves of garlic and a blend of aromatic spices to create this bold and flavourful pickle. It is perfect with hot parathas or simple dal chawal.
For those who love a bit of spice, I make this Stuffed Hari Mirchi Achaar. Each green chilli is carefully slit and filled with a tangy masala mix before being pickled. It has a wonderful crunch and a fiery kick that really livens up a meal.
When winter arrives, I love making my Gobi, Gaajar, Shalgam Achaar. This pickle is a crunchy, tangy mix of fresh cauliflower, carrots, and turnips, all pickled in a traditional Punjabi style. It’s a seasonal favourite that brings warmth to chilly days.
It brings me so much joy to meet customers at my market stall. Here I am with journalist Ravish Kumar, who stopped by to try some of my homemade treats. Moments like these make all the hard work feel so rewarding.
I believe that food made with love is the best gift. That's why I created these beautiful gift boxes. They are perfect for festivals or just to show someone you care, filled with your choice of my homemade pickles and treats.
This is my special Karonda and Hari Mirchi ka Achaar, a unique combination you might not find elsewhere. The tartness of the karonda (Bengal currant) pairs wonderfully with the heat of green chillies, creating a truly memorable flavour.
About this collection
I make my pickles in small batches, exactly as we always did at home. You won't find any artificial preservatives or vinegar here; just fresh ingredients like raw mangoes or winter vegetables, sun-dried and preserved in pure Kachi Ghani mustard oil. When you open a jar, you get that real, honest aroma because I make it the same way I would for my own family.
After a long career in interior design, I decided to return to my roots at 75. Mommade is my way of preserving the culinary traditions my mother taught me. My pickles are more than just a side dish; they are a health-conscious choice. I use jaggery instead of sugar, limit the oil, and rely on natural fermentation and sun-drying to bring out deep, authentic flavours.
Whether you are looking for the classic kick of Punjabi Aam ka Achaar (mango pickle), the pungency of whole-clove Garlic pickle, or the crunch of seasonal Winter Veg mix (Gobi-Gajar-Shalgam), every jar is packed with care. I handle the preparation personally—from peeling garlic bulbs to hand-stuffing chillies—ensuring each batch maintains high ingredient density.
Because I do not use preservatives like Sodium Benzoate, my pickles are best enjoyed fresh. I deliver across Delhi NCR and ship pan-India, bringing a piece of my kitchen to yours. If you appreciate the honest, bold taste of traditional Indian pickles without the factory shortcuts, I invite you to try a jar.
