Architecture Mentorship and Studio Internships
My studio in Sanjayanagar is a living classroom where we blur the lines between office and sanctuary, inviting young architects to build their design voice through real-world practice.
I am here with visiting first year students from BMS, answering their questions inside my home and office. I believe in complete transparency, showing them not just finished work but the process, the mess, and the collaborative energy of a design studio.
Another angle of the student visit, showing the open and interactive nature of our studio. The environment is designed to encourage curiosity and dialogue, which are essential for architectural education.
A group photo with students on the steps of my studio. It is always a joy to welcome aspiring architects into my space and share my passion for design with them.
The entrance to my home and office, with shoes left outside by visiting students. This simple image speaks to the welcoming and informal atmosphere I cultivate, where the lines between home, office, and classroom are beautifully blurred.
A duplicate of the previous image, emphasizing the detail of the shoes left at the entrance, a symbol of a shared, respectful space for learning.
About Studio Life & Internships
Interning here is not about menial tasks or coffee runs. When you step into our studio, you are treated as a junior collaborator, diving into active project workflows from initial conceptualization to material finalization, ensuring you gain tangible experience with every session.
My approach to mentorship stems from the belief that teaching and practicing architecture are inseparable creative acts. The studio is purposefully designed as a laboratory of ideas. Whether you are seeking a structured portfolio audit to navigate your Master's application or looking for an immersive week-long workshop to challenge your spatial thinking, my goal is to guide you in discovering your own architectural language.
We avoid imposing a single signature style here. Instead, we encourage a deep inquiry into materials and context. You will find yourself working alongside me, reviewing site details or participating in the same rigorous design processes I apply to my own projects. For students and young professionals, this means being involved in everything from structural sketches to the delicate art of material selection.
Our programs range from 90-minute 1-on-1 career strategy sessions to week-long intensive art and architecture workshops. These sessions are held in person at my Bangalore studio or on-site at completed projects like Villa Soham. This environment creates a shared space for open dialogue, where questioning the why behind a design is just as important as drafting the how. My hope is that every intern or mentee leaves with the confidence to take real creative risks and a clearer sense of their own professional trajectory.
Meeta Jain Architects
I see my studio as a space for shared discovery, not just a place of work. I invite you to step in, look beyond the surface, and find the clarity you need to shape your own career in architecture.
