About Little Potters: Kids & Family Fun
I make sure our kids' sessions use only non-toxic, skin-safe clay, so you do not have to worry about a thing while they explore. We focus on tactile hand-building techniques like coiling, slab work, and pinching, which are perfect for smaller hands to manage. It is never about making perfect shapes here; it is about building confidence and letting children get genuinely messy while they create their own custom figurines, pencil holders, or bowls.
A Space for Little Imaginations
Pottery is more than just an activity; it is a way to slow down, build sensory-motor skills, and take a well-deserved break from screens. My studio in Jeevan Bima Nagar is designed to be a safe, welcoming playground where kids can learn to center their thoughts just as much as they center their clay.
What to Expect
- Hand-Building Focus: We keep things simple and fun. Because the wheel can be tricky for younger children, we primarily use hand-building techniques. This allows kids to experiment with shapes and textures freely, making everything from clay animals to functional pen stands.
- Non-Toxic Materials: Safety is my priority. I only use skin-safe, non-toxic clay that is easy to handle and easy to wash off.
- Guided Creativity: I am always there to help, but I let the kids take the lead. My goal is for them to feel proud of what they made, even if it looks a little wobbly.
- Firing Process: Once the masterpiece is done, I handle the professional glazing and firing. It takes about 3 to 4 weeks to get everything food-safe and waterproof, and I will let you know as soon as it is ready for pickup.
