About Make It Special: Themed & Advanced Workshops
Each of these workshops is designed to let you walk away with a piece that is uniquely yours, whether it is a hand-carved pendant or a festive ornament. We handle the messy part, which includes trimming, drying, glazing, and firing. This ensures your finished creation is food-safe, durable, and ready to take home in about 3 to 4 weeks.
Looking to explore pottery beyond a standard bowl? My themed and advanced sessions are for anyone wanting to get creative with clay. We dive into specific techniques like Sgraffito carving, where we layer colored clay, or Nerikomi marbling for intricate patterns. For those who want wearable art, our jewelry making classes show you how to shape, texture, and glaze your own pendants and bangles. If you have a specific vision, like a lamp shade or a custom planter, we can guide you through the hand-building techniques needed to make it happen.
Seasonal sessions are a studio favorite. Whether it is crafting custom Christmas ornaments that actually hang on your tree or making eco-friendly Ganesha idols for the festival, these workshops are all about celebrating with clay.
Everything you make gets the professional treatment. Once your piece leaves the studio table, it goes through our careful process of drying, bisque firing, applying the glaze, and the final glaze firing. By the time you pick it up, your item is waterproof, durable, and ready for daily use. No experience is required. These sessions are about having fun with the process, learning a new skill, and taking home a piece of art that you made from scratch.
