About Kids & Clay
We keep our batches small to ensure every child gets the attention they need, whether they are learning to center clay on the wheel or experimenting with hand-building. It is wonderful to see them move from nervous first attempts to proudly taking home their very own mugs and bowls.
Our Kids Pottery & Clay Course is designed to be a safe, engaging 12-hour journey for children aged 6 to 14. We believe that pottery is not just about the final object, but about the process of learning patience and expression.
In our 8-session program, children rotate through different techniques to keep things fresh and exciting:
- Hand-building: We start with the basics, teaching pinch pots, coil building, and slab work. This helps develop fine motor skills and spatial awareness.
- Wheel Introduction: For those ready to try the wheel, we provide assisted sessions to help them get a feel for centering and pulling walls.
- Creative Freedom: The studio environment is encouraging and non-judgmental. We prioritize safety by using only non-toxic, food-safe clay and glazes, so you never have to worry about what your child is handling.
We host these sessions in our sunny, open studio in HSR Layout, which provides a welcome break from school routines. It is a place where laughter is common and every child is encouraged to experiment. Whether your child is naturally artistic or just curious, they will find a space here to create at their own pace. By the end of the course, they will have a collection of their own unique ceramic pieces to cherish.

Hi, I'm Bhavya. I started this studio because I wanted to share the peace that clay brings into my life. Teaching kids is my favorite part of the week, seeing their pure, unfiltered joy when they finally shape the clay into something they love.
