About Creative Hands: Hand-Building & Sculpting
One of the best parts about our hand-building sessions is that you don't need any prior experience. I walk you through the basics of pinching, coiling, and slab work, ensuring you feel comfortable every step of the way. You get to select your favourite creation to take home, which we then fire in our studio kiln so it is food-safe, waterproof, and ready for you in about 3 to 4 weeks.
Express Yourself with Clay
While the wheel is fantastic, hand-building offers a completely different kind of freedom. There is no spinning machine to control, just you, your hands, and a lump of clay. Whether you want to sculpt a whimsical figurine, build a sturdy custom mug, or create a textured wall hanging, this is the perfect space to do it.
What You Will Learn
In our studio in Jeevan Bima Nagar, we focus on the fundamental techniques that let you create anything you can imagine:
- Pinching: Using your thumb and fingers to shape bowls and small vessels.
- Coiling: Stacking ropes of clay to build height and structure, perfect for vases or pitchers.
- Slab Work: Rolling out clay sheets to create flat or angular forms like houses, tiles, or nameplates.
A Space to Unwind
I believe pottery should be therapy, not a stress test. You will find a no-judgment zone where we put on some music, have a laugh, and enjoy the process. It is about getting your hands dirty and your heart full. This workshop is perfect for beginners, kids, or anyone just looking to get off their screen and make something real with their own hands.
We provide all the clay, tools, and aprons you need. You just bring your curiosity and maybe a friend to share the experience with. Everything is fired right here at our studio, so you get to hold onto a piece of art that you made yourself.
