We do not aim for perfection here, just pure, messy, creative fun. Our camps help kids explore clay, natural dyes, and sculpture in a relaxed space.

An overview of the activities in our 4-day summer camp for kids. We explore pottery, tie-dye with natural dyes, paper mache sculpture, and block printing.

Kids fully engaged in a block printing session during our summer camp. They learn to create patterns using both hand-cut wooden blocks and carved vegetables.

This young man created a fantastic paper mache cactus sculpture. Our camps include recycle projects that teach kids to create art from everyday materials.

This delightful ice cream cone is actually a paper mache sculpture. It's a testament to the wonderful creativity that flourishes in our kids' workshops.

A young creator with his impressive clay cave. Our single pinch pot animal and structure projects are always a hit with the kids.

Day 2 of our summer camp focused on making natural, eco-friendly dyes. The kids get to see how colors can be extracted from turmeric, onion skins, and beetroot.

A collage from Day 3 of our kids' summer camp, showcasing the beautiful and unique tie-dye t-shirts the children created using natural dyes.

About Creative Camps for Kids

I do not give the kids a manual and expect a perfect result. Instead, we spend four days exploring different mediums like natural tie-dye and paper mache so they learn that creativity is not about getting it right, but about the process of making something from scratch.

My approach is simple: kids learn best when they are getting their hands dirty, not when they are following a strict set of instructions. During our workshops, we trade screens for clay, pulp, and dye. We start by working with terracotta clay to build simple forms. The next day, we move to upcycling, teaching the children how to extract natural dyes from kitchen ingredients like onion skins, turmeric, and beetroot to create unique patterns on old t-shirts. We also explore paper mache, turning waste into sculpture, and block printing using hand-cut vegetables and wood. The studio becomes a space where mistakes are just part of the learning curve, and the goal is always to build confidence. We keep the groups small so every child gets to ask questions and take their time. By the end of the camp, they are not just taking home a ceramic bird or a tie-dye shirt. They are leaving with the feeling that they can build something from nothing.

I run Oriri Studio, and I believe kids have more natural creativity than we often give them credit for. My camps are my way of providing a space where they can be messy, build things with their hands, and learn to look at everyday objects as tools for art.
