About this collection
You don't need to be an artist to make something beautiful here. In our hand-built pottery workshops, we focus on techniques like pinching, coiling, and slab work, so you'll walk out with a functional piece you actually made. Whether you're aiming for a morning coffee mug or a cute desk plant holder, just remember that the wobbly bits are part of the charm.
Why skip the wheel?
We focus on hand-building techniques like pinching, coiling, and slab construction because it is the most direct way to connect with clay. It is tactile, grounding, and honestly, way less intimidating than a spinning wheel. Whether you are in Bengaluru looking for a unique weekend hobby or a creative date idea, this is a space to slow down.
What to expect from your session
- Materials & Guidance: We provide about 500-750g of clay, sculpting tools, wire cutters, and aprons to keep your clothes clean. You get step-by-step guidance to turn a lump of clay into a functional item like a bowl, mug, or quirky figurine.
- Finishing & Takeaways: Depending on the specific batch, you might be painting your piece with acrylics to take home on the same day, or leaving it for firing if the session includes it. If your piece goes for firing, it is usually ready for pickup in about two weeks.
- The Vibe: Don't worry about perfection. If your mug handle is a bit crooked or your bowl has a thumbprint, that is just the character. That is the StoryZone way—messy, real, and fun.
Planning your visit
We are located in HSR Layout and run these sessions regularly on weekends. It is perfect for solo visitors, couples, or small groups of friends. We keep the class size intimate so everyone gets enough attention. Bring your curiosity and maybe an extra bag if you are planning to make multiple pieces.
