Sparring and Pad Work Boxing Training in Vashi
This is not a cardio gym. Step into a professional ring with a national champion to test your speed, defensive reflexes, and power in real-time.
A glimpse into a typical training session, with students sparring in the ring and others working on the heavy bags. This is where skills are tested and sharpened in a real-world setting.
Here is our national-level boxer Riddhi Pawase in action with me. We are working on advanced drills, focusing on speed, precision, and footwork inside the ring.
I work one-on-one with new students to build their basic combinations and confidence. This pad work session focuses on getting the fundamentals right before moving to more advanced techniques.
Our coaches, including myself, are always in the ring with our students, guiding them through drills and sparring. This hands-on approach ensures everyone gets the attention they need to improve.
The ring is our classroom. Here you can see multiple students practicing their skills, from sparring to pad work, all under the watchful eye of our coaches.
About Inside the Ring: Sparring & Pad Work
Pad work is not just about hitting targets; it is where I correct your knuckle alignment, stance, and defensive slip in real-time. Most gyms let you swing at heavy bags until you are tired, but here, we use the ring to build your reaction time and fighting IQ. Whether you are sparring to compete or just to push your physical limits, you need a coach who knows exactly when to adjust your guard before you form a bad habit.
Why The Ring Matters
Training in a real boxing ring changes everything. It forces you to understand spacing, footwork, and the reality of an opponent's reach. In our sparring and pad work sessions at Marine Centre Boxing Academy, we move beyond the basics of skipping and shadow boxing.
What To Expect In The Ring
- Technical Pad Work: I personally work on your jab, cross, hook, and uppercut combinations. We don't just focus on power; we focus on precision and the 'snap' of your punch.
- Controlled Sparring: Safety comes first. We engage in light-contact sparring to help you practice defensive moves like ducking, slipping, and countering without the risk of injury. This is where you learn to keep your composure under pressure.
- Real-Time Corrections: When you are inside the ring, you cannot hide your mistakes. I am there to spot when your guard drops or your footwork slows down, correcting you immediately so you can fix it before the next round.
Who Is This For?
Whether you are a corporate professional looking to de-stress through high-intensity training, a student wanting to compete, or someone just looking to build raw confidence, this environment works. You will learn to handle pressure, manage your breathing, and trust your training.
We train from Monday to Friday, 6:30 PM onwards in Vashi Sector 11. No fancy machines, just the ring, the gloves, and your dedication. If you are ready to stop shadow boxing and start fighting with strategy, come to the academy.
