About Pottery Workshops & Classes
Why I Call Clay "Maati Sona"
Clay feels like gold from the earth to me. Every bowl, every plate, carries its own thumbprints and stories, never perfect - and that's the beauty. If you ask me, slow living and letting go of perfection is what pottery is all about.
Who Shows Up Here
Never touched clay before? No worries. Just want a break from your phone or try something new with a friend? My co-teacher Badshah and I keep it simple. Anyone with an open mind is welcome.
How You Can Start
- Short formats: One or two days, just enough for a first taste. Weekend hand-building pottery class or a quick pottery wheel experience - both work if you want to try your hand without a big commitment.
- Deep dive: Our 10-day course takes you from beginner pottery lessons to making bowls, mugs, and even glazing your own pieces. Spread over weekends so you don’t burn out.
- Special occasions: Clayful dates for couples or friends, festival workshops (Diwali Ganesha, Christmas ornaments) - we like some masti (fun) along with the mud.
What You Learn
- Wheel work: Needs some focus, bit of strength, but super satisfying seeing your bowl take shape.
- By hand: Pinching, coiling, slab building - you get creative and make almost anything.
Details That Matter
- We handle the clay, tools, and guidance.
- Everything happens in our HSR Layout studio, Bangalore.
- Your piece, your story - fired, glazed, and ready for you to take home.
