We run weekend art workshops in Bangalore where anyone can join, try different art forms, and hang out in a relaxed studio setting.

Canvas Painting, Lippan & Textile Workshops
Session Specifics
- Duration: 2.5 to 3 hours of step-by-step guidance suitable for non-artists.
- Takeaway: 1 finished art piece (e.g., 10x12 inch Canvas, 6-inch Embroidery Hoop, or 8-10 inch Lippan board).
Materials Provided
- Painting: Primed canvas boards, fast-drying acrylic paints, synthetic brushes, and palette knives.
- Crafts: Wooden hoops and wool yarn for Punch Needle; MDF base, clay dough, and mirrors for Lippan.
- Studio Gear: Usage of easels, palettes, water cups, and aprons.
Amenities
- Refreshments: Complimentary tea or coffee during the session.
- Post-Event: Access to studio photo corners.
Hand-Built Pottery & Clay Modeling
Core Experience
- Method: Hand-building techniques only (Pinching, Coiling, Slabs). Note: Does not include electric potter's wheel.
- Clay Supply: Approx 500g to 750g clay per person. Sufficient for 1 medium mug/bowl or 2 small pots.
Tools & Equipment
- Modeling: Access to sculpting tools, wire cutters, rolling pins, and sponges.
- Protection: Aprons provided to prevent clay splatter.
Finishing Process
- Type: Depending on batch, includes either acrylic painting (air-dry) or bisque firing preparation.
- Logistics: Fired pieces typically require a 2-week turnaround for pickup; air-dry pieces are taken home immediately.
Resin Art, Geode & Decor Workshops
Project Tiers
- Standard: Resin Beach Art or 10-12 inch Circular Clock.
- Premium: 3D Resin Koi Pond (multi-layer), Geode Art with crystals, or large 14-16 inch Clocks.
Technical Materials
- Chemicals: Art-grade Epoxy Resin and Hardener.
- Add-ons: Metallic powders, alcohol inks, real sand, shells, moss, miniature figurines, and clock machinery.
- Base: High-quality MDF board or deep-dish substrate.
Process & Safety
- Gear: Nitrile gloves and face masks provided (mandatory for safety).
- Technique: Guidance on mixing ratios, torching bubbles, and pouring for glass-like finish.
- Curing: Artwork requires 24-hour setting time at the studio. Pickup must be arranged for the next day.

Why I Started This
I built StoryZone as a way to bring people together in Namma Bengaluru for some real, hands-on creative fun. The goal? A place to disconnect from screens and just make stuff. No pressure to be the next Picasso - just show up, create, and chill out with folks who get it.
What to Expect
- No experience needed - most of us are just winging it!
- Come solo, with friends, or even on a date. All kinds of people join in.
- We keep things easygoing. Nobody’s judging your art here.
- There’s always tea, coffee, and a relaxed vibe. Feels more like hanging out than a formal class.
What We Do
Every weekend, we run different public art workshops. You’ll find stuff like:
- Canvas painting, fluid art, and texture painting
- Resin art (from ocean clocks to galaxy themes), hand-built pottery, and traditional lippan mirror work
- Mandala dot art and zentangle for some art therapy workshops
- Tote bag painting, decoupage, miniature art, batik - we keep trying new things
The Real Deal
Things don’t always go to plan. Power cuts, spilled paint - we’ve seen it all. But honestly, those messy moments make for the best memories. It’s about connecting, not perfection.

Hey, I’m Nisha and StoryZone is basically my second home. Started this place because, yaar, everyone needs a break from screens and some real human connection.
