About A Look Inside Our Studio

When you walk into our HSR Layout studio, you will notice it is not about cranking out perfect, factory-made products. We keep our batches small—usually 6 to 10 people—so you get real guidance on the wheel or with hand-building techniques. It is a quiet corner where you can unplug, get your hands messy, and actually focus on the process instead of worrying about whether your bowl looks professional.

Pottery is rarely just about the object you make; it is about the hours spent away from your phone and the quiet focus of molding clay. In our HSR Layout space, we try to create an environment where you can do just that.

We focus on a few key areas:

  • Wheel Throwing: This is for when you want to feel the movement of the clay. It requires some patience and strength to center the clay, but seeing a lump turn into a bowl is incredibly satisfying.
  • Hand-building: If the wheel feels intimidating, we start here. Using techniques like pinching, coiling, and slab building, you can make almost anything—from mugs to planters—without needing much experience.

Everything happens in our studio. We provide the tools, the aprons, and the clay. After your session, we take care of the heavy lifting—trimming, glazing, and double-firing your pieces up to 1200 degrees Celsius to make them food-safe and durable.

We believe in the joy of 'Maati Sona'—earth's gold. This is why we don't rush you. Whether you come for a one-day workshop to destress or join our 10-day intensive course to actually learn the craft, the goal is the same: to step back, get your hands muddy, and leave with something that carries your unique fingerprint.
