About this collection
Our route is deliberately designed for runners who want more than just flat pavement. We utilize the rolling hills of the Turahalli forest belt, creating a course filled with incline sections and technical, winding stretches. Whether you are aiming to set a personal best in our 10k category or looking for a manageable 5k, the terrain requires proper pacing and attention to form, which makes the eventual finish line feel like a genuine accomplishment.
A Different Kind of Run
We started the Freedom Run because we believe fitness should move outdoors and connect with the landscape. You won't find perfectly flat, boring asphalt here. Instead, we map out routes that integrate the natural topography of South Bangalore. The goal is to provide a setting where the air is cleaner and the environment pushes you to engage your stabilizing muscles as much as your cardiovascular system.
Race Details & Logistics
- Categories: We offer competitive and leisure-focused 5k and 10k formats.
- Terrain: Expect a mix of open stretches and elevation changes that challenge both stamina and lower-body strength.
- The Vibe: This is an inclusive event. We see serious runners alongside families and beginners, all supported by our team of coaches and local enthusiasts.
Training for the Race
Because our course includes elevation, we recommend specific functional training in the weeks leading up to the event. If you are a member at our JP Nagar or 3rd Phase studios, ask your trainer about incorporating more hill sprints or stair-climber routines into your weekly sessions. Proper preparation ensures you enjoy the scenery rather than just struggling through the inclines. We focus on injury prevention, so if you are new to running long distances, consider a gait analysis or a consultation with our on-site physiotherapy team before race day.
Lotus Sports and Fitness
I built this event to get our community out of the gym and onto the road. We pick routes that challenge you, but keep the atmosphere supportive enough that everyone from beginners to marathon veterans feels like they belong.
