About Yoga for Mind & Soul: Meditation & Breathwork
Many students come to me thinking meditation is about stopping thoughts, but it is actually about changing how we react to them. Whether we are practicing 4-7-8 breathing to lower immediate stress or doing a guided mindfulness session, my goal is to give you a tool you can use at your desk or in bed, not just on the yoga mat.
Finding Your Center in a Noisy World
We live in a world that rarely slows down, and often, our body and mind pay the price. In my 'Yoga for Mind & Soul' workshops, we don't just stretch; we address the root causes of our daily exhaustion. I believe that chhoti-si aadat (a small habit) like 5 minutes of focused breathing can be the start of a massive shift in your overall health.
The Science Behind the Practice
Kya aap jaante hain? Daily pranayama, like Nadi Shodhana, can act as a reset button for your nervous system. In my sessions at the Sunder Vihar studio, I break down the science of why this works. We cover:
- Pranayama (Breathwork): Simple techniques to improve lung capacity and oxygen circulation, which naturally lowers stress and anxiety.
- Guided Meditation: We practice mindfulness in a way that feels doable, not impossible. No pressure to sit still like a saint; we focus on finding presence amidst chaos.
- Bilingual Theory: Each 120-minute session includes 30 minutes of discussion where I explain the 'why'—helping you understand how specific postures or breaths interact with your physiology.
Why Join My Sessions?
If you are struggling with concentration, persistent stress, or just need to break the cycle of shallow chest breathing, this is a space for you. My workshops are held in a quiet, marble-floored studio in Paschim Vihar, equipped with props like blocks and straps to make sure your physical practice supports your mental goals. We keep the group sizes manageable so that you get the right guidance, whether you are a complete beginner or looking to deepen an existing practice. Come with an open mind, and I will handle the rest.
