Professional Kabaddi Coaching and Skill Drills
I train players and coaches on the essential mechanics of the game. From perfecting your footwork to mastering mat-specific defensive drills, we build your skill step by step.
Here, I am demonstrating fundamental defensive skills like the front charge and inside charge. Mastering these basics is crucial for any team, and I provide direct, hands-on instruction to ensure players execute them perfectly.

About On-the-Mat Coaching & Drills
Kabaddi isn't just about raw power; it's about how you distribute your weight during a tackle. Whether we are working on the front charge or an inside charge, I look at your footwork first. If your balance is off, you are vulnerable. We will break down your movement frame by frame to ensure you are moving efficiently, keeping your centre of gravity low, and reacting before your opponent can.
Many players approach me looking for faster raids or tighter holds, but my first focus is always the foundation. In my sessions, we don’t just run drills; we deconstruct them. I often see players struggling with the transition between mud courts and synthetic mats. The traction is different, and your pivot points have to change accordingly. My coaching methodology is rooted in the same discipline that earned me the Arjuna Award.
When we practice offensive techniques like the toe touch or defensive anchors like the thigh hold, we do it with intent. We don’t just drill for hours; we drill to solve specific tactical problems. For junior players, this means building muscle memory for agility. For advanced players and fellow coaches, we shift to strategy—analyzing defensive formations like 7-man versus 5-man setups and managing match-day pressure.
I am frequently asked about aggression versus discipline. My answer is simple: control is a skill. We train the mind to stay calm while the body stays explosive. I have trained students at the SAI sports center and helped them bridge the gap between amateur talent and professional readiness. If you are serious about understanding the game’s mechanics—how to read a raider or build a wall—bring your kit and let's work.
