Two sides, one pendant. This video shows the reversible feature of my upcycled comb necklace, with a different hand-painted design on each side. This piece is sold but can be recreated for you.
A unique necklace made from an upcycled wooden comb, hand-painted with a black and white bird motif inspired by Madhubani art. This is wearable art that tells a story of transformation.
The other side of the comb necklace, featuring a colorful fish design. This double-sided feature makes the piece incredibly versatile, allowing you to match it with different outfits.
A dynamic video showcasing the new double-sided comb necklace. This is the last piece available from this particular batch.
Coffee has many uses. In this video, I show how I use coffee as a natural stain to create a unique, sepia-toned background for a pendant, brewing something truly different for you.
About this collection
These necklaces are actually reversible. I paint a distinct design on each side of the comb, so you effectively get two looks in one pendant. It makes styling easier when you are rushing out the door and need a piece that matches more than one outfit.
Art hides in the most unexpected places. My obsession with upcycling started with a simple question: what else can a wooden comb be? I source sturdy, durable wooden combs and treat them as tiny canvases. The process is slow and requires patience. I seal the wood, prime it, and then the painting begins.
Whether I am using traditional Indian motifs like Madhubani birds or experimenting with natural stains like coffee, every stroke is deliberate. You might see a bird motif on one side and an intricate floral pattern on the other. This is not mass-produced factory work. It is slow, mindful art that feels comfortable to wear.
These pieces start at ₹550 and come on adjustable cotton cords, making them practical for all-day wear, whether you are at work or a casual brunch. Because each one is hand-painted, no two are ever identical. If you see a design you love that has already been sold, please reach out. I can recreate it, or we can design something fresh together that matches your specific vibe.
