Squash Fitness and Conditioning Drills in Delhi NCR
To dominate the court, you need more than just a good swing. Our conditioning sessions build the explosive leg power, agility, and core stability that turn a casual player into a competitive athlete.
Students at our ATS Green Village program test their explosive power with a standing broad jump. Drills like these are a great way to build and measure leg strength.
Even our youngest players at Ahlcon International School work on their coordination and leg strength. These hurdle drills are a fun way to develop fundamental athletic skills.
Students perform agility ladder drills at Ahlcon International School. This type of training is vital for developing the quick, precise footwork needed to move efficiently around the squash court.
Our fitness sessions are not confined to the court. Here, students are engaged in outdoor agility drills using cones and ladders to improve their speed and coordination.
Building core and upper body strength is essential for a powerful swing. Here, students practice wall-assisted handstands and other bodyweight exercises.
Students from Ahlcon International School doing warm-up runs and dynamic stretches on campus. Every session begins with proper preparation to prevent injuries and maximize performance.
A fun but challenging conditioning drill at our ATS Pristine program. These animal-flow-style movements build core strength, balance, and coordination all at once.
About Fitness & Conditioning Drills
Our conditioning work is designed to mimic the actual demands of a match. Rather than generic gym work, we use ladder drills, plyometric circuits, and footwork patterns that teach your body to recover quickly and move efficiently. We want your movement to become instinctual, so when you are in the middle of a rally, you can stop thinking about your feet and focus entirely on the ball.
Conditioning for squash is fundamentally different from standard athletic training. At our centers in locations like Ahlcon International School and DPS GBN, we design programs that replicate the unique demands of the sport—short, sharp bursts of effort followed by rapid recovery.
We structure our fitness modules around three pillars:
- Footwork & Agility: Using specific ladder drills and cone patterns, we teach players to move across the court with purpose. As we often emphasize, 'Pehle pair sahi rakho' (get your feet right); when your movement is efficient, your technique naturally follows.
- Explosive Strength: We focus on functional, lower-body power. Through plyometrics and bodyweight circuits, we build the explosive leg drive required for quick changes in direction and consistent court coverage.
- Core Stability: A powerful, controlled swing starts in the core. We integrate exercises that build the rotational strength and balance necessary to hit with accuracy, even when you are off-balance.
Whether you are a U-9 beginner learning hand-eye coordination through playful drills or a senior player preparing for SGFI tournaments, our conditioning programs are scaled to your developmental stage. We do not believe in one-size-fits-all fitness. We focus on preparing your body for the specific physical reality of a squash match.
