Yoga Therapy Credentials & Therapeutic Approach
Yoga is a practice, but therapeutic yoga is a science. Here is the foundation of my teaching, blending clinical expertise with a holistic, spiritual approach to healing.
A proud and blessed moment for me, receiving my Yoga Therapy certificate from my respected Guru ji Dr. Nagendra of SVYASA. This education forms the scientific backbone of my therapeutic approach to yoga.
About this collection
When we start, I do not just ask about your goals. I review your medical history or any MRI reports you might have, combining that clinical reality with traditional poses to ensure every movement is actually helping your body recover, rather than putting extra stress on your joints or spine.
My approach is built on a Master's degree in Yoga Therapy from SVYASA, but my real classroom has been the countless hours spent working with people dealing with everything from chronic back pain to hormonal imbalances. I treat yoga as a medical intervention, not just a workout.
Why Clinical Yoga Matters
Unlike general fitness classes, therapeutic yoga focuses on specific biomechanics. If you are struggling with a disc issue or stiff joints, we avoid the 'pretzel' poses that look good on Instagram but can be harmful. Instead, we focus on alignment, using props like Iyengar-style wall ropes, wooden bricks, and chairs to support your body's specific limitations.
The Holistic Method
I believe in the principle of 'Sthiram Sukham Asanam'—finding stability and comfort in your pose. If you are not comfortable, you are not healing. This is why I integrate:
- Breathwork (Pranayama): To calm your nervous system and manage anxiety.
- Nutrition Counseling: Since 80% of your health starts in the kitchen, we address inflammation through your diet.
- Manual Adjustments: Hands-on guidance to ensure your spine is aligned safely during practice.
Whether you are a senior needing chair-assisted movement or someone recovering from an injury, my goal is to guide you through a practice that honors where your body is today, rather than pushing it toward an arbitrary standard. We keep it simple, consistent, and science-backed.

I believe yoga is for everyone, regardless of age or physical limitations. My work is built on the belief that we need both ancient wisdom and modern scientific understanding to truly heal.
