Friends, Food & Stories: Supper Clubs and Pop-Ups
Food tastes better when there’s a story attached. Join me at the table where strangers become friends over authentic Kolhapuri flavors.
This is what it looks like when 15 home chefs, each specializing in a different Indian regional cuisine, come together to share their food. It was an evening of fantastic food, great conversations, and learning about new cuisines.
With happy guests at my Kolhapuri Konkan Food Express pop-up. The best part of these events is meeting wonderful, sweet souls who share my love for food.
A full house at my culinary exchange event in Nagoya, Japan. The room was buzzing with energy and excitement as people gathered to experience Maharashtrian food for the first time.
Diners in Japan enjoying the Maharashtrian thali. Their curiosity about our spices and passion for food created such a warm and fulfilling atmosphere. I'm so grateful for their support.
A lively dinner scene from my pop-up in Lucknow. It was wonderful to see families and friends gathered around the table, enjoying the Maharashtrian thali and sharing stories.
A fellow home chef serving plates of delicious regional snacks at our collaborative event. It's a beautiful thing to see so many people proud to be feeding others the food of their homes.
Another shot from our home chef collaboration, with plates full of diverse Indian snacks being served to eager guests. The energy in the room was just incredible.
Two guests sharing and enjoying a plate of snacks at our home chef meet-up. These events are all about community, networking, and of course, eating a lot of mouthwatering food.
Holding a plate full of snacks from 15 different home chefs. It was a true feast, showcasing the incredible diversity of Indian regional cuisines.
I love hosting travellers and locals for my supper clubs. It's all about exchanging stories, ideas, and good vibes over a great meal. If you love food and have travel stories, let's connect!
About The Vibe: Friends, Food & Stories
When you sit down at one of my pop-ups, you aren't just a customer. You are a guest in my kitchen. We serve everything family-style, which means you will be passing bowls of Tambda and Pandra Rassa across the table, chatting with the person next to you, and hearing the stories behind my Aai's secret recipes. It is noisy, it is authentic, and it is always warm.
My pop-ups and supper clubs are not traditional dining experiences. They are a way to bring the essence of Kolhapur and the wider Maharashtrian region to your city, whether that is in Mumbai, Goa, or even halfway across the world in Japan. I host these events to break the barrier between the chef and the diner.
At these tables, you will not find the red-colored 'restaurant-style' curries. Instead, you get real 'Ghar Ka Khana' (home-cooked food). We spend time discussing the ingredients, why we use specific masalas, and how these recipes traveled from my Aai's kitchen to my own pots and pans.
From Coorg Mutton to Malvani Fish Curry, the menu changes based on the season and my recent travels. Because these are intimate gatherings, the space is limited to 10-20 people. This ensures that every guest gets a chance to truly connect, share their own food memories, and learn about our cuisine in a way that feels natural and relaxed.
Whether it is a collaborative event with other home chefs or a solo pop-up where I take over a local restaurant kitchen, the vibe remains the same: chaotic, conversational, and delicious. If you are looking for a fancy, quiet dinner, this might not be the place. But if you are looking to bond over shared plates, authentic spice, and a lot of laughter, then pull up a chair. Chalo, let's eat.
