Rejuvenate with Outdoor Yoga Sessions
Step away from the city noise. Join me in Noida or the mountains of Dharamshala to practice yoga where it belongs—in the fresh, open air.
There is a special kind of peace that comes from practicing yoga in nature. Here, my students connect with the elements, finding balance and serenity by a flowing river. This is what I mean by finding your 'sukoon' or inner calm.
On International Yoga Day, I had the pleasure of guiding new students through a relaxing Savasana (Corpse Pose) in the serene landscape of Dharamkot. Feeling the sun and the earth is a core part of my naturopathic approach to healing.
The mountains provide a powerful backdrop for a strong yoga practice. This video shows a sequence of asanas, from the powerful Mayurasana (Peacock Pose) to heart-opening stretches, performed against the majestic Himalayas.
Here I am practicing Mayurasana, or Peacock Pose, on a quiet beach. This advanced arm balance builds strength and improves digestion. The sound of the waves and the sand beneath my hands makes the practice even more grounding.
About Connect with Nature: Outdoor Yoga Sessions
Practicing outdoors is different from a studio. The ground is often uneven, whether you are on a riverbank or a park lawn, and this actually helps your body. By stabilizing yourself on natural terrain, you engage your core and smaller stabilizing muscles much more than you would on a flat, indoor mat, making your Hatha yoga practice more effective and mindful.
Why Take Yoga Outdoors?
When we step outside, we are not just doing asanas; we are practicing 'Yogas Chitta Vritti Nirodha'—the calming of the mind’s fluctuations—by connecting with the elements. I hold sessions in quiet corners of Noida and host retreats in the serene landscapes of Dharamshala specifically to help you disconnect from digital noise.
The Natural Advantage
- Grounding: Feeling the earth beneath your hands and feet during poses like Mayurasana or Savasana provides a sensory connection you simply cannot get indoors.
- Breathing: Breathing in fresh, unconditioned air improves the quality of your Pranayama sessions, allowing for deeper oxygen intake and lung detoxification.
- Mindfulness: The sounds of nature—flowing water, rustling leaves, or distant mountain air—act as a natural soundtrack, helping you maintain focus without needing calming music playlists.
What to Expect
Whether you are joining me for a morning session in a Noida park or travelling with us to the Himalayas, my focus remains on your alignment. I provide hands-on adjustments and ensure that no matter the age or the terrain, your practice is safe and tailored to your body's capacity. We do not rush. We work with the pace of nature.
If you have chronic pain or are looking for a specific disease reversal protocol, we can incorporate elements of Acupressure into these outdoor sessions, turning your time in nature into a complete healing experience.
